OriginPoint names Austin Reed producing regional manager

OriginPoint has appointed Austin Reed as its producing regional manager, tasked with serving clients across Greater New England and the Northeast. Reed joins OriginPoint from CrossCountry Mortgage, bringing 13 years of experience in the mortgage industry.

His expertise spans various loan types, including conventional, FHA, VA, and jumbo loans, as well as financing for first-time homebuyers and investment properties. According to HousingWire, Reed's production volume reached $109.5 million in 2025, with $55.5 million year-to-date in 2026. He also conducts business in Georgia, Florida, California, Illinois, and Michigan.

James Elliott, president and CEO of OriginPoint, expressed enthusiasm for Reed's appointment, highlighting his proven track record as a producer and relationship builder. Reed emphasized his commitment to client service and maintaining personal connections throughout the mortgage process, believing that technology should enhance, not replace, human interaction in homebuying.

Reed intends to continue serving his existing client and agent network while growing his team and business operations in the Northeast region.
