How PiQ Markets stories are sourced, produced, checked and corrected.
PiQ Markets is published by PiQ Global Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 12872883). This page explains how the stories on piqmarkets.com come to exist, what we do when we get something wrong, and how advertising is kept separate from coverage. The people behind the platform are introduced on our Meet our experts page; the company itself is described on About PiQ Markets.
Where our stories come from
Every story on PiQ Markets starts with reporting published elsewhere. We monitor a wide base of established sources — major wire services and outlets including Reuters, AP, Bloomberg, the Financial Times, CNBC, MarketWatch and Yahoo Finance; official channels such as the Federal Reserve, the European Central Bank and other central banks and regulators; company announcements; and specialist publications for crypto, commodities, energy, property and emerging markets. Reuters content is carried under licence.
We do not publish anonymous tips, unsourced claims or social-media rumour as news. If a development is only reported by a single publisher, the story says so: the Sources panel on every story lists each publication the story draws on, with a link to the original article wherever one is available.
How stories are produced
PiQ Markets is a technology company and our newsroom is built around automation. Our systems continuously read the sources above, group the articles that report the same development into a single story, and produce the headline, the "In short" summary, the key facts, the "How it developed" timeline and the context sections you see on each story page. When a new article about an existing development arrives, the story is updated rather than duplicated, and its Updated time changes.
That production step is AI-assisted. Text on a story page is generated by our systems from the source articles; it is not written by the original publishers and should not be attributed to them. Our editorial team oversees the output: they monitor what is published, correct or remove stories that are wrong or misleading, adjust how sources are weighted, and refine the rules the systems follow. They do not individually approve every story before it goes live — at the volume and speed we operate, that would not be true, and we would rather tell you how it actually works.
Stories carry the byline PiQ Markets Newsdesk for that reason. We do not attach invented human names to automated writing.
Accuracy and updates
A story is only as good as its sources, so we hold ourselves to these rules:
- Facts, figures and quotes must come from the cited sources. We do not add claims that no source makes.
- Where sources disagree, the story says so rather than picking one silently.
- Headlines must describe what the sources report, not speculate beyond it.
- Stories are updated as developments unfold. The timeline on each story shows when each development was added and from which publication.
- Importance scores and category tags are editorial judgements about relevance to markets, not predictions.
Nothing on PiQ Markets is investment advice. Stories describe what has happened and why it may matter; they do not recommend buying, selling or holding any asset.
Corrections
If you believe a story is inaccurate, misattributed, outdated or infringes your rights, email [email protected] with the story URL and what you think is wrong. A person reads every message.
- Material errors are corrected in the story itself as soon as they are confirmed, and the story's updated time reflects the change.
- Stories that cannot be corrected are removed.
- Requests relating to copyright are handled under our DMCA policy.
We aim to respond to correction requests within two working days.
Advertising and independence
PiQ Markets is funded by advertising and by commercial partnerships. Sponsored placements are always labelled as such and are visually separated from editorial content. Advertisers and partners have no say in which stories we cover, how they are written or how prominently they appear, and no story is produced in exchange for payment. Partner content — such as broker profiles or education material provided by a partner — is identified as partner content where it appears.
Who is responsible
PiQ Markets is operated by PiQ Global Ltd, whose leadership and team are introduced on Meet our experts. Editorial responsibility for the platform rests with the company. You can reach us at [email protected] or through the contact page.
