A Russian drone attack on Friday targeted the headquarters of Ukraine's SBU security service in central Kyiv, President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said. He stated that a drone struck the central building of the Security Service of Ukraine on Volodymyrska Street, across from St. Sophia's Cathedral, and was aimed directly at the office of the head of the service in that building. Five people were injured in the attack, according to Kyiv's mayor. Separately, a Russian drone strike destroyed a restaurant and damaged nearby buildings in central Kyiv, an area previously untouched by attacks. The restaurant's owner confirmed the destruction of his establishment, and the mayor reported a non-residential building caught fire. Ukraine's Air Force reported that Russia launched 121 Shahed-type attack drones across Ukraine, with 103 intercepted by Ukrainian air defenses.
