Just over 10 years after its initial release, the space exploration and survival crafting game No Man's Sky is coming to the iPhone and iPad, Apple and developer Hello Games announced. The game will be available on devices as far back as the iPhone 11 and the third-generation iPad Air. The iOS version includes all of the content and systems updates that have been added to the game over the years, transforming it from a rocky launch reception to a widely beloved redemption story. The game will launch on October 28 and will offer a free trial, with a final purchase price of $19.99. The file size is under 5 GB, with galaxies generated on-device rather than stored as assets. Hello Games has been working on the iOS version for three years. The game also recently received a macOS port. While the iOS version supports touch controls, game controllers, and casting to a TV, player-made planetary settlements are limited to iPhone 15 Pro and later, and multiplayer is not supported on any iOS device. Hello Games stated they will support the iOS version appropriately based on player feedback and the number of active players.
