Google has launched its new Gemini 4 Argon AI model, positioning it as a significant advancement in artificial intelligence. However, access to Argon is restricted to users who subscribe to paid tiers of the Gemini app, such as AI Pro or AI Ultra, which cost at least $19.99 per month. Developers will also need to pay to utilize the new model. Tulsee Doshi, Gemini product lead at Google DeepMind, described Argon as a 'powerhouse' and the first in a series of new Gemini models. Google has also focused on enhancing safety measures, employing a system to monitor the model's reasoning process and intervene if it exhibits concerning behavior. Internal testing indicated that Gemini 4 Argon helped engineers boost AI-generated code production by 35% and improve other Google products. The company stated that users can expect continued improvements and new models in the future.
