Ledger announced the Atom, a new $849 Android-powered touchscreen device that incorporates a Secure Element running Ledger OS, on Thursday at its Op3n conference in Paris. The device is designed to separate everyday applications from sensitive wallet operations and AI agent requests, switching into a "Secure Mode" for transactions. Solana Mobile named Ledger as its first hardware expansion partner, with its Seeker app and Solana dApp Store preinstalled on the Atom. The device features a 6.77-inch OLED display, a 4,000mAh battery, and runs on a Qualcomm Dragonwing chip. Ledger expects to begin shipping the Atom in summer 2027. The announcement comes as Ledger investigates tampered devices sold through a reseller in Southeast Asia, which were found to capture recovery phrases during setup.
