National Land Realty has launched an artificial intelligence (AI)-powered property search tool designed to help land buyers find properties using natural-language and voice-based searches. The new search experience allows users to describe the type of property they are looking for in their own words rather than relying solely on traditional search filters. A buyer searching for a specific number of acres of farmland in a particular county, for example, can enter that request directly, and the system translates it into relevant search criteria and matching listings. The tool can also provide geographically relevant suggestions and recommend nearby or similar properties when an exact match is unavailable. Users can refine searches based on factors including location, acreage and land type. "Instead of simply searching by state or county, buyers can describe the specific type of property they’re looking for," said Tyler Van Meeteren, chief technology officer of National Land Realty. "That gives them a much more granular way to search and helps them get to the properties that fit their needs faster." The new search platform also includes voice-to-text functionality, allowing users to speak their search requests through supported browsers rather than typing them. Once buyers create a search that matches their needs, they can save it through a MyLand account and receive notifications when new properties meeting their criteria become available. The technology is also designed to help National Land Realty agents and sellers by connecting listings with more specific buyer searches. National Land Realty has also developed a proprietary AI tool designed to help create listing descriptions that can improve how properties are discovered through search. "These technologies are part of a bigger plan," Van Meeteren said. "We’ve identified an opportunity in our industry to stand out by using technology to make the land-buying and selling experience better."
