IRES MLS has promoted its chief operating officer, Julie Dahl, to the role of chief executive officer, succeeding Jeff Bosch. The announcement was made on Wednesday.
Dahl, who has been with IRES since 2003, will take over in the coming weeks. Bosch is set to depart IRES to become the CEO of Arizona Regional MLS after a transition period.
Dahl's tenure at IRES began as director of training and communications. She has since held positions including director of operations and vice president of industry relations before her appointment as COO. The MLS stated that this progression provided her with extensive experience in product training, customer support, internal operations, and outreach to brokers and associations.
The IRES MLS Board of Managers selected Dahl for her deep understanding of the organization and her established relationships within both the local brokerage community and the broader national MLS landscape. In her new capacity as CEO, Dahl's priorities will include enhancing staff support, improving customer service, and strengthening operational capabilities as the organization navigates evolving trends in listing data sharing, monetization, and regulation.
David Powell, chair of the IRES board of managers, expressed the board's enthusiasm for Dahl's elevation, citing her blend of organizational and industry knowledge, along with her fresh perspectives and energy. Dahl indicated her intention to build upon previous leadership while remaining attuned to user needs.
Dahl also brings national MLS experience, having completed the Council of Multiple Listing Services (CMLS) CMLX MLS Professional and CMLX MLS Executive programs and served as a CMLS facilitator. Her continued engagement with Northern Colorado real estate associations and neighboring MLS operators is seen as potentially valuable amid ongoing regional consolidation, data sharing agreements, and shifts in compensation rules that are reshaping MLS strategies.
Bosch, who served as IRES CEO for four years, will remain through the transition period. During his leadership, IRES modernized its systems and tools, and he also served on the CMLS board, contributing to national MLS best practices.
