Zillow Preview listings are set to be integrated into RealScout's agent-to-client co-shopping platform later this year, a move that will extend pre-Multiple Listing Service (MLS) visibility to more than 100,000 agents and their buyers across numerous U.S. markets. This collaboration aims to enhance exposure for sellers and provide agents with valuable data to refine their listing strategies before a property officially enters the MLS.
Under the new arrangement, sellers who opt into Zillow Preview will have their pre-market listings displayed not only on Zillow, Trulia, and soon Realtor.com, but also within RealScout's interface. RealScout's platform functions as an extension of MLS searches for agents, enabling consumers to browse and save properties while maintaining their existing agent representation. Eligible Zillow Preview listings will be clearly marked as previews within this shared environment.
Errol Samuelson, Zillow's chief industry development officer, stated that the integration offers increased opportunity for sellers and a more complete picture for buyers and agents. Andrew Flachner, co-founder and CEO of RealScout, added that the move ensures seller choice and buyer access are not in conflict, allowing sellers to control their go-to-market strategy without requiring buyers to switch agents.
The integration will allow agents at participating brokerages to see Zillow Preview listings within RealScout's search and collaboration tools for their clients. During the preview period, metrics such as views, saves, shares, and direct inquiries will be generated, providing agents with real-time data to inform pricing and marketing decisions. Once a listing becomes active on the MLS, the preview entry will be removed and replaced by the official MLS listing.
