Mainstreet Organization of Realtors, the largest local Realtor association in Illinois, has partnered with Gitcha to offer the company's Buyer Listing Service (BLS) to its more than 18,000 members in suburban Chicagoland. The announcement on Tuesday comes as the Chicago-area real estate market continues to face limited housing inventory.
The BLS is designed to create a structured protocol for agents to publish and search for buyer needs, such as specifications, timing, and financing. This aims to move buyer demand details from informal conversations to transparent, compliant "want listings" broadcast to licensed agents. The companies stated that this will allow listing agents to identify unserved buyer demand and enable buyer agents to represent clients more comprehensively.
Dan Cooper, CEO of Gitcha, highlighted that in a market with tight inventory, informal buyer demand methods are costly. He believes visibility into the buyer side is crucial for increasing listing supply and fostering cooperation among agents. John Gormley, CEO of Mainstreet Realtors, stated that the BLS aligns with the association's goal of strengthening both sides of a transaction by providing real-time insights into buyer needs.
The BLS will be integrated into Mainstreet's existing member dashboard, MyMainstreet, on MainstreetRealtors.com. Gitcha positions the BLS as an industry-first workflow that creates a searchable demand marketplace by standardizing buyer intent data. Gitcha has recently announced similar partnerships with Momentum MLS and Lubbock Realtors.
