Turkish milling technology supplier Imas has commissioned a new 720-tonne-per-day flour mill in Central Africa. The facility, which became operational in September 2026, is the third complete milling project delivered by Imas to the same customer, a company active in the food and retail sectors.
The cooperation began in 2021 with the delivery of a 300 TPD flour mill, followed by a 160 TPD facility in 2024. The latest 720 TPD mill brings the combined capacity of the three projects to 1,180 TPD. Imas described the new facility as an important addition to the region’s grain-processing infrastructure, designed to process approximately 238,000 tonnes of wheat annually.
The turnkey project included engineering, machinery manufacturing, installation, and commissioning. Imas also designed, manufactured, and constructed the steel mill building. The plant features 36 roller mills, six eight-section plansifters, and eight single-deck purifiers, managed by an end-to-end automation system for centralized control, operational efficiency, and traceability. The system also allows for remote technical assistance from Imas' after-sales service team.
