Apple TV+ is increasing its monthly subscription price to $12.99 and its annual price to $119, effective immediately for new customers and within 30 days of renewal for existing subscribers. This marks the fourth price hike for the streaming service in four years. The Apple One bundle, which includes iCloud+, TV, Music, and Arcade, will now cost $21.95 per month, up from $19.95.
Apple cited its expanded library of original content and ad-free viewing as reasons for the increase. The company noted that Apple TV+ offers thousands of hours of premium programming across genres and weekly new releases, all without ads. It remains the only major streaming service without an ad-supported tier.
Despite numerous award nominations and wins, Apple TV+ reportedly continues to lose more than $1 billion annually, making it the only unprofitable service in Apple's portfolio. Competitors like Netflix and Peacock have also recently implemented price increases for their streaming services.
