Apple's artificial intelligence features are set to launch in China in December, following a two-year regulatory review. The services will be available to Chinese iPhone users with the iOS 27.3 update, after an open beta test for developers starting November 4. Alibaba Group Holding's Qwen large language models will power these features, including Siri, writing tools, and visual intelligence, marking a significant step in bringing generative AI to Apple's second-largest market. However, advanced Siri AI and other next-generation Apple Intelligence features announced at WWDC 2026 will not be included in the initial rollout. Support for iPad and Mac is expected to follow after obtaining further regulatory approvals.
