Google is making it easier for businesses to connect their apps to its AI experiences across Search and Gemini with the debut of its Connected Apps Platform. Introduced earlier this year, connected apps allow users to securely link and interact with third-party services to take specific actions, such as designing a flyer with Canva or building a playlist with YouTube Music. The platform is currently available in beta to developers in the U.S., enabling them to integrate their apps using AppFunctions APIs and submit them via the Google Connected Console. Google already has over 50 Connected Apps in Gemini, including from partners like Adobe and Peloton, with more set to roll out to Google Search in the coming weeks.
