Alex Vidal has been appointed the new president of REMAX, a move that follows the recent acquisition of REMAX Holdings by The Real Brokerage, which has now formed the Real REMAX Group. Vidal transitions to this role from his previous position as brand president of ERA Real Estate.
Vidal's appointment comes just over a week after the completion of the Real Brokerage's acquisition of REMAX. He succeeds Chris Lim, who had been REMAX president since February and will now serve as the Growth Ambassador for the newly formed Real REMAX Group. Lim expressed pride in his tenure and confidence in the brand's future.
With 29 years of experience in the real estate industry, Vidal is recognized as the first Hispanic president of a major national real estate brand. He will be responsible for leading the REMAX brand globally, overseeing its network of over 145,000 agents. His duties will include driving regional growth, developing services for broker-owners and agents, and contributing to the long-term strategic vision of the brand, reporting directly to Real REMAX Group CEO Tamir Poleg. Poleg highlighted Vidal's deep understanding of the business and his ability to help organizations achieve growth.
In addition to Vidal's appointment, Real REMAX Group has announced other leadership changes. Jenna Rozenblat, formerly Real's COO, has been named president of the Real REMAX Group and is also serving as chief integration officer. Erik Carlson, the former REMAX CEO, has stepped down and joined the Real REMAX board of directors.
Furthermore, the company is halting the growth of its mortgage franchise system, Motto Mortgage, to concentrate investment on a unified, scalable mortgage platform for its agents. This strategic shift has led to the departure of Vic Lombardo, president of REMAX's mortgage services, with Kate Gurevich, CEO of One Real Mortgage, assuming his responsibilities.
