Bank of America VP killed in Times Square stabbing

A Bank of America vice president was fatally stabbed in Times Square on Monday by a woman who also injured a man before being shot and killed by police. The victim, identified as 32-year-old Erin Piacenti, was attacked near One Times Square. The suspect, 49-year-old Pamela Cisneros, reportedly pulled two knives from a shopping bag and stabbed Piacenti in the abdomen. She then turned and stabbed a 68-year-old man in the abdomen. Both victims were taken to the hospital, where Piacenti died and the man remains in stable condition. NYPD officers attempted to subdue Cisneros with a Taser, but she advanced on them, leading officers to open fire. NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch described the attack as random and unprovoked, noting Cisneros had a documented history of mental health issues. Bank of America issued a statement expressing condolences for the loss of their colleague.
