Adobe has announced that Anil Chakravarthy will assume the role of President and CEO, effective December 1, 2026, succeeding Shantanu Narayen. Narayen, who has led the company for over a decade, will transition to the role of executive chair to support the handover.
Chakravarthy, currently president of Adobe’s Customer Experience Orchestration business and worldwide field operations, joined Adobe in January 2020. He has been credited with leading the development of AI-powered products and championing acquisitions. Prior to Adobe, Chakravarthy served as CEO of Informatica for four years and held executive roles at Symantec and VeriSign.
Narayen expressed confidence in Chakravarthy's leadership, citing his experience and deep knowledge of the business, particularly in navigating an AI-driven era. Frank Calderoni, Lead Independent Director, stated that the board unanimously selected Chakravarthy after a rigorous process, highlighting his transformative leadership and success in expanding Adobe's Customer Experience Orchestration business.
