CVC Capital Partners has announced a leadership succession plan, appointing Todd Sisitsky and Peter Rutland as co-chief executive officers, effective by the first quarter of 2028. This transition will occur when the current CEO, Rob Lucas, steps down.
Sisitsky joins CVC from TPG, where he served as President for over 23 years and was involved in various leadership roles, including co-chair of the firm's Management Committee and board member. His career at TPG focused on healthcare investments, and he played a key role in the firm's growth strategies.
Rutland, who has been with CVC for 19 years, currently holds the position of President and Managing Partner. He oversees credit, insurance, secondaries, and infrastructure strategies, and leads the financial services sector team globally. His appointment highlights CVC's internal leadership development.
Rob Lucas, who has led the group since June 2021 and oversaw CVC's IPO, will remain involved in investment activities and serve on several committees. The firm stated that this succession plan reflects its established approach to leadership transitions and its ongoing focus on performance, growth, and diversification.
