Ukraine strikes Russian retail warehouse in Rostov Oblast

Yuriy Slyusar, the Governor of Rostov Oblast, confirmed that the region was under attack, though he noted that the extent of any potential casualties was still being determined. The Kyiv Independent has not yet been able to independently verify the details of the incident.

Ukraine has engaged in a pattern of striking military infrastructure and commercial targets deep within Russia and occupied territories. This strategy aims to degrade Moscow's capacity to sustain its military operations. In the preceding night, Ukrainian drones reportedly hit the Yaroslavl oil refinery, one of Russia's largest processing facilities, with additional attacks reported in Moscow and its surrounding region. Over the summer, Ukraine has also conducted attacks on Russian retailers, including e-commerce companies like Wildberries and Ozon.
