Ukrainian forces reportedly targeted a warehouse belonging to Russian e-commerce giant Wildberries in Yekaterinburg on August 31, 2026. The city is located more than 1,600 kilometers from the Ukrainian border. Local authorities declared a drone threat in the region, and the Sverdlovsk Oblast Governor confirmed a strike occurred near a logistics center, though he did not identify the company.
A Ukrainian monitoring channel, Exilenova+, claimed that Wildberries' facility was the target and that one drone fell near the warehouse. Debris from the attack reportedly fell on residential areas, damaging three apartment buildings and injuring four people, according to the governor. He also stated that no fires broke out and the damage primarily consisted of shattered windows.
The Kyiv Independent noted it could not independently verify these claims. Ukraine has been conducting a campaign this summer targeting logistics hubs in Russia and occupied territories, often used for storing dual-use goods for military purposes. Previously, Ukrainian drones attacked an Ozon sorting center in Belgorod and another Ozon facility in Rostov Oblast.
