Stockton Mortgage announced a significant restructuring of its executive leadership team on Wednesday, signaling a strategic move towards long-term growth and national expansion. David Stockton, the company's founder and longtime president, has transitioned to the role of chief executive officer. He stated that the company is poised for rapid growth and has reorganized its top-level structure and attracted key industry talent.
Anthony Whiteside, an 18-year veteran of the firm, has been appointed as the new president, taking responsibility for the company's day-to-day operations. Whiteside expressed excitement about the transition and the focus on growth while maintaining the company's culture.
In a notable shift within the sales department, Kris Vanzant, an early employee who built and led Stockton's retail sales channel, is departing the company. Following Vanzant's departure, Stockton has hired Scott Bristol as executive vice president of national sales and Kevin Cario as a divisional manager. Bristol, who previously held roles at Fairway Independent Mortgage Corp., PrimeLending, Flagstar Bank, and New American Funding, stated his new role begins Monday, Oct. 5. He cited Stockton's visionary leadership and the company's resilience through various market cycles as reasons for joining.
Additionally, Christy Soukamneut has been appointed chief revenue officer. Soukamneut, who joined Stockton in July as chief strategy officer, will now oversee all revenue-generating operations and strategy. She highlighted the collective strengths of the new leadership team, including Bristol and Cario, in supporting the company's vision.
