Ted Baker is re-establishing its presence on the UK high street with the opening of new shop-in-shop concessions at Selfridges stores, approximately two years after its last standalone UK stores closed. The brand's intellectual property is owned by US firm Authentic Brands Group (ABG), which acquired it for £211 million in October 2022.
The firm behind Ted Baker's UK shops, No Ordinary Designer Label (NODL), entered administration in March 2024, leading to the closure of all 46 of its UK stores by August 2024. This marked the end of the brand's 36-year physical presence in the UK and resulted in hundreds of job losses.
Following the collapse of NODL, ABG partnered with United Legwear and Apparel Co (ULAC) to manage Ted Baker's online business and concessions in the UK and Europe. ULAC, which already operates Ted Baker in the US and Canada, relaunched the brand's UK website in November 2024.
The new concessions, including one at Selfridges Manchester Trafford which opened in May 2026, offer a curated selection of fashion, accessories, and lifestyle products, with a focus on summer designs and prints. A similar boutique has also opened inside Selfridges at Birmingham's Bullring.
