Sky News is launching a new Sunday morning current affairs program titled 'Sophy Ridge on Sunday,' hosted by Sophy Ridge. The one-hour show, set to air at 10 a.m. starting January 8, will feature a major interview and a weekly segment called 'Ridge on the Road,' where Ridge will explore public reactions to news and decisions from Westminster. The program will also include newspaper reviews and analysis from Sky's news team.
In addition to the Sunday program, Sky News is also launching a daily political affairs program called 'Politics Hub,' which will be hosted by Ridge and air weeknights at 7 p.m. British Time (4 p.m. Eastern Time). This daily show aims to provide an "unparalleled mix of interviews, insights and analysis," focusing on hard news and the "quirkier things going on in the country’s corridors of power." Ridge stated that the show will interrogate politicians and their policies, feature voices from across the spectrum, and focus on issues that matter to viewers.
