SBI Okasan Asset Management, a partner of Ripple, has filed to launch a new investment fund that will combine a robo-advisory strategy with bonds backed by Goldman Sachs. The fund, named Goldman Sachs Corporate Bonds / ROBOPRO Strategic Fund 2026-10 and nicknamed "Robot Plus 4," aims to maintain principal by investing in yen-denominated corporate bonds from Goldman Sachs Group.
The fund will also feature an active investment component using the ROBOPRO Strategic V5 strategy. The application period for the fund is set from October 1 to October 28, with a tentative launch date of October 29. The annual trust fee is 0.693%.
This move by SBI Group occurs as the Bank of Japan (BOJ) is anticipated to make a policy decision on September 18. Analysts expect the BOJ to raise its policy rate to 1.25%, which would be the highest level in approximately 31 years and bring the central bank closer to its 2% inflation target. The BOJ is facing upside price pressures from factors including rising oil prices, a weaker yen, and increased demand for AI.
