The Ukrainian Air Force reported that Russia launched 107 drones, including 63 jet-powered models, and that air defenses intercepted 87 of them by 8 a.m. local time. Strikes were recorded in 11 locations, with debris from downed drones falling in four others.
In Sumy Oblast, two people were killed and at least 17 injured in mortar attacks. In Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, two people were killed and one injured, with a 44-year-old man killed in drone strikes on the Nikopol district. Mykolaiv Oblast reported one death from a drone attack in the Vesnianske community. Kherson Oblast saw one death and four injuries. Kharkiv Oblast reported eight injuries, while Donetsk Oblast had five injured, including two in Sloviansk and three in Kramatorsk.
In Odesa, one person was injured when a business center was hit, causing damage to buildings and a fire. In Kyiv, one man was injured, and fires broke out in a residential building and a warehouse. Rivne Oblast reported one woman injured and her home damaged.
Following Russian attacks on energy infrastructure on September 30, some consumers in Kirovohrad, Rivne, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Chernihiv oblasts remained without electricity as of October 1.
