More broadly, Russian forces launched 1,019 strikes across 52 settlements in Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia region over the past 24 hours, resulting in two deaths and 10 injuries, regional authorities reported on Wednesday. The casualties were recorded in Zaporizhzhia city and the surrounding district, according to regional governor Ivan Fedorov. The scale of the assault included 717 drones of various types, predominantly first-person-view drones. Russian forces also carried out 19 airstrikes against 13 settlements, and multiple-launch rocket systems conducted seven attacks. Authorities received 192 reports of damage to homes, vehicles, and infrastructure.
