Nexa Lending announced on Monday that Andrew Deyo has joined the company as a branch manager based in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Deyo, a former U.S. Army recruiter with 13 years of military service, entered the mortgage industry and most recently served as a producing partnership branch manager for Rate.
According to RETR data, Deyo has originated $46 million in volume across 107 units year-to-date. He stated that he evaluated multiple mortgage platforms before choosing Nexa, focusing on the economics and infrastructure available to producers and branch leaders. Deyo found Nexa's model to be "clean" and compelling enough to decline a sign-on bonus exceeding $750,000 from another firm, prioritizing long-term building opportunities.
A significant factor in his decision was Nexa's business development marketing (BDM) program, which Deyo aims to expand. Nexa CEO Geri Farr noted Deyo's immediate recognition of possibilities within the BDM program, highlighting his understanding of people development and growth creation.
Deyo began his mortgage career after leaving the Army, learning the mechanics of origination under Krystal Stearns, who has also joined Nexa following the company's acquisition of UMortgage. Stearns commented on Deyo's growth and dedication since starting in the industry, expressing excitement about building alongside him again at Nexa.
