Israeli attacks have resulted in the deaths of at least nine Palestinians and injured 18 others in the Gaza Strip over the past 48 hours, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry. One body was recovered from rubble from previous attacks. The ministry stated that the total death toll from Israel's war on Gaza has now reached 73,449 Palestinians, with 174,472 injured since October 7, 2023.
Multiple strikes were reported across Gaza. An Israeli drone targeted three members of the Abdeen family north of Khan Younis, killing them. Another drone strike in the Sabra neighborhood of Gaza City killed a Palestinian man. A third attack hit a tent sheltering displaced people east of Gaza City, resulting in one death and several injuries.
In the occupied West Bank, Israeli forces launched a strike in Jenin, killing three Palestinians, including one identified by the army as Qais Bitawi. The latest attacks occur amidst severe food insecurity in Gaza. Data from the World Food Programme indicates that nearly half of surveyed individuals reported going to bed hungry in the past 30 days, and 21 percent are eating only one meal a day. Three-quarters of households reported difficulties accessing markets due to cash shortages and high food prices. The average number of trucks entering Gaza daily since the ceasefire is 217, significantly below the agreed-upon 600 trucks per day.
