At least 27 people were killed and dozens of residential buildings were damaged following a Russian drone attack on the Bucha district, near the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv, officials reported Saturday. Tymur Tkachenko, head of the local regional military administration, stated that the attack also caused a large fire that spread to homes and a restaurant. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in a statement that a warehouse was struck in the village of Myla, followed by a detonation. He noted that criminal proceedings had been opened on charges of official negligence, citing regulations against storing ammunition near residential areas. Zelenskyy also confirmed that a care home for the elderly and people with disabilities, as well as residential buildings, sustained damage. More than 370 people have been evacuated from the area, with the process ongoing. The attack comes amid almost constant air raids in Kyiv, which have been ongoing for three days, significantly disrupting civilian life and impacting the economy. The Ukrainian army reported shooting down 233 Russian UAVs overnight. Russia also reported strikes on Belgorod and Rostov regions, with seven people injured in Rostov.
