In a potential runoff scenario, Lula would receive 46% of voter support compared to 44% for Bolsonaro. This narrow lead for Lula is within the survey's margin of error. A previous poll conducted on September 21 showed Lula leading Bolsonaro 46% to 45% in a runoff.
For the first round of voting, Lula garnered 42% of intentions, an increase from the 40% recorded in the prior survey. Bolsonaro followed with 37%, unchanged from the previous poll. Other candidates included Augusto Cury (5%), Ronaldo Caiado (5%), and Renan Santos (4%).
The poll surveyed 2,000 individuals between September 25 and 27, with a margin of error of 2 percentage points. If no candidate secures over 50% of valid votes in the October 4 first round, the top two contenders will proceed to a runoff election on October 25.
