Apple is reportedly set to announce a new smart home hub named HomeView on Tuesday, according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman. This device is described as a Siri-powered product featuring a display and an A18 chip, designed to give users enhanced control over their other smart home devices. The HomeView is expected to be available in two variants: one for countertops and another for wall mounting. This move represents Apple's most significant push into the smart home sector to date, following less successful previous efforts with its HomeKit software framework and HomePod smart speaker. In addition to the HomeView, Apple is also anticipated to unveil updated versions of its Apple TV set-top box and HomePod mini. Earlier this week, reports also indicated a planned partnership between Apple and LG to develop a smart lock, thermostat, and doorbell.
