Singapore clinics see up to 30% rise in haze-related cases from previous week

Some clinics in Singapore are seeing up to 30% more patients with haze-related illnesses compared to last week. Many have underlying conditions. Doctors say such patients should try to avoid being exposed to the haze. Apart from antihistamines, inhalers and nasal sprays, doctors are also seeing more people asking for the influenza vaccine. Some clinics are running low on the current flu vaccine, while the new one meant to replace it has been delayed by two weeks. New vaccine supplies are expected to reach Singapore from early to mid-October. Germaine Wong reports.
