Bengaluru Tech Week showcases advanced AI and robotics

India is stepping up efforts to develop its robotics and advanced-technology industries. At Bengaluru Tech Week, startups are showcasing products that combine AI with machines and other physical devices. But turning those prototypes into products at scale remains a challenge. A government advisory group on robotics says India still has significant gaps in key components, including sensors, chipsets and precision gears. Last year, the government launched a Research, Development and Innovation scheme that provides around US$11 billion in financing over six years to support research-driven and deep-tech innovations.
