A Ukrainian court has ordered the detention of two men, including a serving officer from Ukraine's military intelligence (HUR) and a former law enforcement officer, accused of murdering Anastasiia Berezovska. Berezovska was wanted by Interpol for a bomb attack in Monaco on June 29 that seriously wounded Ukrainian property developer Vadym Iermolaiev, his partner, and son. Her body was discovered with gunshot wounds near Kyiv. Ukrainian media reported that the HUR employee has retracted his initial confession, stating that his co-defendant fired the shots and that he confessed under duress. The incident has raised concerns about the potential involvement of Ukrainian intelligence agencies.
