Tonkeeper, a prominent self-custodial wallet within The Open Network (TON) ecosystem, has rebranded to Keeper and significantly expanded its capabilities to support multiple blockchains. The wallet now offers integration with Bitcoin, Ethereum, TRON, BNB Smart Chain, Arbitrum, and Base, in addition to its native TON support. This strategic shift aims to provide users with a unified platform to manage their diverse cryptocurrency holdings across various networks, addressing the growing trend of users holding assets on multiple chains.
According to Nikita Monastyrskiy, CMO of Keeper, the rebrand was driven by user behavior, as many users were already managing assets on different blockchains using multiple applications. The name change to Keeper reflects this broader, multichain functionality. The wallet's existing 'Battery' feature, which enables users to pay transaction fees without needing the native token of each network, is planned for expansion across all supported chains within the next year.
