Ondo Finance has achieved a significant milestone by becoming the first tokenization company to join the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation's (DTCC) Fund/SERV network. This integration, through its subsidiary Oasis Pro Markets, a U.S.-registered broker-dealer, directly connects Ondo's tokenized fund business to established distributors across the U.S. investment market.
Fund/SERV is a critical infrastructure for fund processing in the United States, with DTCC handling over 85% of the nation's mutual fund transaction volume. By becoming a member, Oasis Pro Markets gains a unified connection to various fund companies, wealth platforms, and service providers, eliminating the need for separate integrations with each firm. The network manages essential fund operations, including transaction confirmations, reconciliation, distributions, account information, tax reporting, and regulatory reporting.
This arrangement is expected to broaden the distribution channels for Ondo's tokenized funds, enabling them to reach a wider audience within the traditional financial system. Ondo President Ian De Bode highlighted the efficiency gained, stating that the standardized connection allows Oasis Pro to engage with multiple companies without individual integration efforts. DTCC Managing Director Talia Klein noted that Ondo's participation signifies how established industry infrastructure can support the evolution of digital markets.
Ondo Finance has been actively expanding its tokenized securities operations. Oasis Pro is capable of minting Ethereum-based tokens backed by securities held by regulated custodians. The company has also explored partnerships, such as plans with SBI Group to offer Ondo financial products on its tokenized platform, utilizing SBI's JPYSC stablecoin for settlement. Furthermore, Ondo has launched the Ondo Network to support tokenized financial markets with separate trade execution, validation, and settlement processes, and has previously worked on tokenizing U.S. securities like exposure to BlackRock's iShares Core S&P 500 ETF and Micron Technology shares.
