Blockchain.com and NYSE Group have entered into an agreement to explore expanding global access to tokenized U.S. stocks and exchange-traded funds. The collaboration aims to merge NYSE's forthcoming digital trading venue with Blockchain.com's extensive international customer base. This initiative is designed to facilitate round-the-clock trading and onchain settlement for tokenized securities, subject to regulatory approvals.
Peter Smith, Executive Chairman and CEO of Blockchain.com, highlighted the significance of tokenized stocks in the financial landscape and expressed optimism about extending access to tokenized assets through the NYSE platform to Blockchain.com's global users. NYSE Group President Lynn Martin described the partnership as a strategic move, noting that Blockchain.com's international presence and digital asset expertise complement NYSE's planned tokenized securities platform.
The agreement also encompasses a market data exchange. ICE Data Services, an affiliate of NYSE's parent company Intercontinental Exchange, intends to offer Blockchain.com's crypto market data and analytics to its clients. Concurrently, Blockchain.com plans to integrate selected ICE and NYSE market data feeds into its own application, providing its over 44 million accounts with real-time stock information.
Blockchain.com already has a presence in the tokenized stock market, having expanded its partnership with Ondo Finance earlier in 2026 to offer over 200 tokenized U.S. stocks and ETFs to users in 30 European Economic Area countries. The company has also been expanding its regulatory footprint in Africa, entering Nigeria's Securities and Exchange Commission's Accelerated Regulatory Incubation Programme. It is important to note that tokenized products may differ from traditional shares in their structure and ownership rights, with Blockchain.com's current Ondo-powered products tracking economic performance and backed by assets held with licensed U.S. custodians.
