Swiss police have arrested a 43-year-old man in connection with a fatal shooting at a rave in Aarau, Switzerland. The incident, which occurred at the Schachen horse racing track, resulted in the death of a 22-year-old woman and injuries to five others. The victims, all Swiss residents, ranged in age from 22 to 27.

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni identified the deceased as Maria Spinelli and noted that two other Italian citizens were among the injured. Police stated that investigations into the exact circumstances, background, and motive are ongoing, with a fight being considered a possibility. A large police operation was involved in the manhunt for the perpetrator.
