Scoular, an employee-owned agribusiness company, announced on September 25, 2026, that it has promoted six leaders within its Grain Division. The company stated the promotions are aimed at enhancing customer service and collaboration throughout the supply chain.
Ron Bingham, Scoular Senior Vice President and Grain Division General Manager, emphasized the focus on serving customers, including growers, end users, exporters, and railroads. He noted that Scoular's business centers on the supply chain and providing solutions globally.
The six promoted individuals will fill roles overseeing trade, operations, and origination, as well as business development, asset utilization, and sustainability programs. TJ Mandl, who has 20 years of experience with Scoular, was promoted to Regional General Manager for the South. Matt O’Hern, a former management development trainee, will serve as Regional General Manager for the East. Billy Shortal, who joined Scoular in 2021, is the new Regional General Manager for the North.
Melissa Norem, previously overseeing producer strategy for five years, has been appointed Director of Strategic Projects, focusing on business development, third-party agreements, acquisitions, divestitures, and low-carbon fuel standards. Derek Spears, a longtime Scoular employee, will lead operations strategy and execution as Director of Grain Operations. Beth Stebbins will continue to oversee sustainability programs, including regenerative agriculture, in her role as Director of Sustainability and Producer Strategy, a position she has held since 2023.
