Scoular shareholders elected three new members to the company’s Board of Directors on Tuesday, October 2, 2026. The new directors are Diane Duren, Stephanie Harlan, and Tom Werner.
Diane Duren is a retired executive from Union Pacific, where she held leadership roles including Executive Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer and Corporate Secretary. She previously worked as a certified public accountant with Deloitte, Haskins & Sells. Duren also serves as chair of Creighton University’s Board of Trustees and is a trustee of the Peter Kiewit Foundation, among other board positions.
Stephanie Harlan, daughter of former Scoular CEO Neal Harlan, is an entrepreneur and business consultant. Her father was one of the original partners who purchased Scoular Bishop Trading Company in 1967 and later served as its President and Chief Executive Officer. Stephanie Harlan built a mortgage protection insurance agency and has experience in company growth and restructuring.
Tom Werner is the former president and CEO of Lamb Weston, a global food company. During his tenure, he led the company's separation from ConAgra Brands and oversaw its growth through acquisitions and expansion. Lamb Weston is described as one of the world's largest frozen potato companies.
Scoular Board Chairman David Faith stated that the new members bring diverse backgrounds, skill sets, and industry perspectives that will strengthen the board and help sustain the company.
