Russian forces conducted widespread attacks across Ukraine, resulting in at least three fatalities and 38 injuries over the past day, according to local authorities. The assaults included the launch of 92 attack drones overnight, of which 71 were intercepted.
In the eastern Donetsk Oblast, seven individuals sustained injuries. The central-eastern Dnipropetrovsk Oblast reported one death and six injuries. Southeastern Zaporizhzhia Oblast saw four people injured, while northeastern Kharkiv Oblast reported five men wounded. In the southern Kherson Oblast, two people were killed and 14 others were injured, including five civilians wounded by drones on September 7. An overnight drone strike in Odesa Oblast hit a house, though no injuries were immediately reported. Northeastern Sumy Oblast experienced mortar and artillery shelling, wounding a woman and a man.
These attacks followed a visit to Kyiv by U.S. President Donald Trump's envoys, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, who engaged in talks aimed at achieving peace.
