Russian attacks across Ukraine killed 11 people and injured at least 64 over the past day, regional authorities said on September 19, 2026. The Ukrainian Air Force reported that forces downed 138 out of 174 drones launched by Russia overnight, including Shahed-type attack drones. Debris from the strikes fell in nine areas.
In Kharkiv Oblast, a double-tap drone attack on a house in Balakliia killed four people and injured three others, according to Governor Oleh Syniehubov. Another person died and 12 were injured elsewhere in the region.
Sumy Oblast authorities reported that two people, including a seven-year-old boy and a 13-year-old girl, were killed and 10 injured in a Russian glide bomb attack on a residential building in Sumy. One additional person was killed and three injured in the region.
In Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, two people were injured near Nikopol, Governor Oleksandr Hanzha said. Two men were injured in Kyiv Oblast's Bucha district due to a drone attack, Governor Tymur Tkachenko reported.
Oleh Kiper, Governor of Odesa Oblast, stated that at least 11 people were injured when Russian troops targeted an administrative building in the city's center. In Donetsk Oblast, one person was killed in Kramatorsk, and 13 others were injured across the region, Governor Vadym Filashkin said.
Zaporizhzhia Oblast saw three people injured from Russian attacks, according to Ivan Fedorov, head of the Oblast Defense Council. In Kherson Oblast, Russian forces attacked 25 settlements, including the regional center, resulting in two deaths and five injuries, including three children, Governor Oleksandr Prokudin reported.
