A Russian glide bomb struck an apartment building in the northern Ukrainian city of Sumy on Friday, killing two people and injuring seven, according to President Volodymyr Zelensky and other officials. Zelensky described the strike as "absolutely inhuman" and said emergency crews had rescued four people from under the rubble, with others potentially still trapped.
The bomb hit directly between the third and fourth floors of the building. Three of the seven injured were in serious condition, including a 13-year-old girl, regional Governor Oleh Hryhorov said.
On the same evening, Russian forces also reportedly hit a clinic in the central city of Pavlohrad and a logistics center outside Kyiv, though details on casualties were not provided. An earlier strike in Balakliia, in the Kharkiv region, killed two people and wounded two.
