Russia's defense ministry claimed on Monday that its forces struck two Ukrainian cargo vessels in the Black Sea, along with fuel storage facilities at the port of Chornomorsk and a dry cargo vessel carrying military equipment. Another dry cargo vessel transporting military supplies was reportedly hit south of Odesa. The ministry also stated that the Kochetok electrical substation was struck in the Kharkiv region.
Massive Russian air strikes targeted industrial and port infrastructure in Ukraine's Odesa region, Governor Oleh Kiper said on Monday. He added that all fires caused by the strikes have been extinguished.
Separately, a Russian air strike on Kharkiv, Ukraine's second-largest city, killed one person and injured six others, Mayor Ihor Terekhov said late on Sunday.
