A severe flash flood has struck Nepal, devastating villages and infrastructure project sites in the Rasuwa district, which borders Tibet. Government officials have warned of significant potential casualties and property damage, urging residents living near river banks to evacuate to higher ground.
District administrator Narendra Pariyar stated that while reports indicate villages and project sites have been swept away, immediate estimates of losses are unavailable. Prime Minister Balendra Shah confirmed that rescue and relief teams, along with police and military personnel, have been deployed to the affected areas. Instructions have been issued to relocate people from lower-lying regions to safer locations.
