Chinese President Xi Jinping is set to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, as part of a broader tour that includes state visits to Kyrgyzstan and Egypt. The trip is scheduled to take place from August 30 to September 3.
During his attendance at the SCO summit, Xi is expected to engage in discussions aimed at deepening cooperation and addressing significant international and regional matters with leaders from participating nations. This was announced by foreign ministry spokesperson Lin Jian.
While in Kyrgyzstan, President Xi will hold bilateral talks with his counterpart, Sadyr Japarov, and participate in various state events.
Following his visit to Kyrgyzstan, Xi will travel to Egypt for a state visit. This will be his first state visit to the North African nation in ten years. In Egypt, he is scheduled to meet with President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi to exchange views on bilateral relations and shared international and regional concerns.
