King Charles III and Queen Camilla are set to embark on an eight-day tour of Caribbean nations from October 27 to November 4. The royal couple will visit Antigua and Barbuda, the Bahamas, and Guyana. A key event during the tour will be their attendance at the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in Antigua and Barbuda, scheduled from November 1 to November 4. King Charles, who holds the titles of monarch of Antigua and Barbuda and the Bahamas, and also serves as the head of the Commonwealth, an organization comprising over 50 nations, will also undertake a state visit to Guyana. The palace stated the tour aims to "celebrate the communities, cultures and nature within the Commonwealth family." The King previously acknowledged the "appalling atrocity of slavery" in the Caribbean and visited Antigua and Barbuda in 2017 following hurricane devastation. He also visited Bermuda in May, his first royal visit as monarch to a British overseas territory.
