Natura, an AI and hardware startup, has unveiled the Interface smart ring, aiming to provide a seamless way for users to interact with AI agents. Priced at $99, the ring allows users to issue voice commands to AI agents for various tasks, from managing schedules to reordering items, without needing to use their phones.
Founded by Carlo Edoardo Ferraris, who previously founded tech accessories company Rolling Square, Natura believes the ring's form factor is ideal for constant access to AI agents. The company envisions the ring as an extension of the user, suitable for wear during daily activities like showering and sleeping.
At launch, Interface will support a range of AI agents and applications, including Meta's Muse, Instinct, Grokbot, Claude, and ChatGPT. Users can specify which AI agent should handle particular tasks, such as using Claude for coding or Instinct for booking reservations.
Beyond AI interaction, the Interface ring also functions as a health tracker, monitoring metrics like heart rate, heart rate variability, sleep stages, daily movement, and skin temperature. The company claims its manufacturing costs are comparable to existing health-focused smart rings.
Pre-orders for the Interface ring are scheduled to open next month, with shipping expected to commence in December or January. Natura plans to introduce a $9 monthly subscription fee after an initial three- to six-month free period, aiming to drive adoption before increasing the price. The ring is designed to offer a battery life of 6 to 12 days on a single charge.
