Lofty has launched its MCP Server, a new feature designed to allow brokerages to integrate external artificial intelligence (AI) tools, data, and proprietary workflows directly into the Lofty platform. The MCP Server is built on the Model Context Protocol, offering a standardized method for connecting compatible AI clients to Lofty while ensuring authentication and access controls are maintained.
According to the company, this capability is intended to enable brokerages to utilize Lofty’s existing AI functionalities in conjunction with their own custom AI agents and brokerage-specific systems. Joe Chen, CEO of Lofty, emphasized the importance of AI having access to business context, stating, "Lofty brings together a brokerage’s people, data and workflows into one operating system, and now we’re making that intelligence securely accessible to the AI agents our customers choose to use." He added that Lofty serves as a foundation connecting business context with AI.
Lofty’s AOS platform already offers agentic AI features that identify opportunities, determine next steps, and execute workflows without user prompts or individual integrations. With the MCP-compatible AI agents, users can access information from Lofty and other connected sources, analyze business activities, and perform authorized actions within the platform, eliminating the need for custom integration code. These connected agents can be configured to identify opportunities, initiate workflows, and act on business information, going beyond simple data retrieval. The company noted that this new capability addresses the increasing demand from brokerages to connect their existing AI agents, proprietary data, and established workflows as they adopt AI for enhanced productivity and operational efficiency.
