Life360 adds scannable pet tags and care logs to its safety app

Since integrating pet tracking last year, Life360 has seen over 8 million pets added to user accounts. The new scannable tags address a market need for simpler pet identification without the bulk of a GPS tracker, while still providing a notification to the family when the QR code is scanned. This scan also provides the pet's last known location if the pet has escaped from the finder.

In addition to the scannable tags, Life360 is rolling out "care logs" to help families manage and track pet routines such as feeding, walking, and medication. The company is also introducing "Zoomies Alerts" for its GPS trackers, which monitor bursts of energy, and a "Weekly Roundup" feature to summarize pet care activities. The affordability of pet trackers has also improved, now being included in the $99-per-year Silver bundles, previously only available in higher-tier plans. These new products are available for purchase on Life360's website and Amazon in the U.S., Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the U.K.
